Stuttering Compressor

Any body have problems wiv their compressor stuttering at about 4300 revs - mine does it occasionally and won't pick up - the acceleration just limps along and then comes back if u slow down and giv it a rest. Have reset it and use the proper juice - nothing comes up on diagnosis machines and the garages don't have a clue  . Its embarrassin being out gunned by fiesta's

usually only happens first things on cold mornings, but it only happens for about 30 seconds then it almost gives me whiplash as the charger decides to kick in when my foot is pretty much all the way down

tried resetting the ecu but no good - the strange thing is it only happens occassionally and when the engine is warm.

the toyota garages only check the engine management log and they can't replicate the fault. must be a bug in the works

yes (even though it's a pain to drive to the nearest Shell garage) and makes no difference - i thought it was maybe me but it happens to my wife as well -the annoying thing is it only does it occasionally and i can't tie it down to any sequence of events.

happened to me twice now , is a weird feeling , not even lack of boost , just no acceleration

as you say , lift off throttle and re apply usually sorts it

will mention at first service

Try Taking the the TRC off and see if it comes on i found it was the TRC was cutting engine power down. i dont know why but when i put my HKS mushroom on it went away and drove fine afterwards

Yes i have had this happen in the yaris too,

its done it around 4 times in the last three years.

Like you say it loses power slightly feels as though its miss firing, if i ease off the power for a few seconds

it seems to correct itself.

I have noticed it also seems to smell a little rich when it does it.

I only ever run it on V power too.

Mine has its servicing at Toyota and nothing has ever shown up on the mutt.
