Gen 5 Engine Cut Out - Obd1 Code 14

On 3 occasions now I have been driving along and suddenly the engine has totally cut out and all I could do was coast to the side of the road. All other electrics seemed to be ok and on each occasion after a few minutes without doing anything (to my knowledge!) after a few attempts I have been able to restart the car and get home.

The car is an unmodified Gen 5 ST182 and I have had it for years without previous problems.

It has an after-market alarm but I have now by-passed that in case it was causing a problem - the problem has occured since so it wasn't the alarm.

I have checked the OBD codes and the only code stored was 14. I have now reset the codes.

I'd appreciate some pointers on this as I'm reluctant to use the car in case it cuts out in a more dangerous situation.

Any one got some good advice on what to check?
