Does anyone know what offset I should have on a new set of alloy wheels. The size I want to fit are 8x18 with 235/45x18 tyres and I have been told a 40 offset will fit. Does anyone have any idea which is the correct size for the offset as another supplier quoted 42 offset. any help?

As far as I know both the old and new shape Previa use a 15" x 5 x 114.3 x 50 rim. I have seen documentation that states the off set as being between 35 - 38 but I went through this same research when looking for new rims for my 1993 model and my new ones have a 50 offset as did the original factory ones I took off. You should be careful when fitting such a big rim that you don't knock out the accuracy of your speedo. You may need to go with a very low profile to keep the overall diameter correct and hence retain the correct gear ratio's.
