Hi

Did a Stupid thing this morning Disconnected the Battery on the Rav.

was checking something in the engine and thought it would be safer to have the Battery disconnected.

Anyway recconected and the Alarm went off my Ears are still ringing and that was 2 hours ago.

I tried using the little Key thing on the Black Box in the engine would not turn WD40 got it to move.

Turnrd off the Alarm.

Tried to Start nothing switched the Key in the Black Box alarm came back on.

Your probably thinking why does he not use the Remote Transponder thing ?

I would have if i received one when I bought the Vehicle.

All I got was one Key with little Key for the Black Box.

Any ideas what I should do next would be most Gratefully received

Regards

Sorry not much help, but I was always under the impression that the alarm only works from the remote?

So you haven't got a alarm remote then? I'd get back to who ever you bought the car from and find out what happened to it.

Tried that the Guy I bought it from only had the one key when he bought it.

Unlike me he Never messed with the Battery.

Going out to have another look at it as I've left it for an hour or so

might get lucky :(

How old is the car? I suspect you might have the old T5000 series alarm on it. They used to do just that when re-connecting the Battery. Sadly the company that made the alarm for Toyota went bust, and the only thing you can do is remove it completely, no way around it I'm afraid, that's if it is that alarm

Kingo

Hi

Thanks for the Info.

Called the AA out the Guy who came out was really good stripped the Panels spent a lot

of time tracing the Cables eventually came up with the same Idea as Kingo

Strip out the Alarm replace and join up the Original Wiring.

Got me started by running a Cable from the Ignition Switch to the Battery.

So at the moment that's how I'm starting the Car till I can find an Auto Elec to do the Wiring

Thanks again
