Rear Seats Release Strap

Hi.

I have a 2004 XT3, 5 doors. Yesterday, one of the release straps which allows you to pull down and put back up one the two rear passenger seats came loose. I can hear a clicking noise inside the seat so obviously the connector has worked its way loose.

It's a frustrating problem and, short of trying to dismantle the seat, I wonder if (a) anyone else has had this problem and (B) how they solved it.

Any and all advice would be much appreciated.

Climb in the boot and look at the seat. There is a zipper to reveal the workings under the cover. Maybe the cable has broken but you should be able to work it out - there are some clips and pins in the mechanism, something might have dropped out.
