Are you sure the Battery is any good after being left discharged for a period of time? The problem could also be with the Remote Key, have you changed the Battery in that?

  • 5 weeks later...

ive had a smiliar problem.

my own cars Battery has gone flat, twice.

when my Battery went flat i couldnt disable the alarm, this is because the alarm actually has its own power source so that if criminals disconnect the Battery it will continue to go off.

im assuming when u charge your old battery it goes off as it obviously connects the power to the alarm again. i had the the same problem. i connected a fully charged battery with doors being closed (this will set the alarm off) ignition off, and the alarm still kept going off untill i pressed the alarm button on my keyfob.

After this i had no probems but even since i havent been able to set my alarm without it randomly going off? stil havent fixed that ;)
