Whats The Auris Called Around The World?

Recommended Posts

Auris has different names depending on which region or country sells them. Could anyone list up the different names?

It's called Corolla just about everywhere except Europe and Japan isn't it. Whoever came up with that name is a genius.

And there may still be Levins? (Not sure, but I hope so).

Well, the new Corolla isn't quite like the Auris :) It's a sedan and not a hatchback although it shares some trades with Auris on the inside.

I believe Australia calls Auris for Corolla (with the same look and all) but the Auris isn't a Corolla in the States

They use the same platform for both cars, it's just that Sedans are popular in America and Hatchbacks are popular in Europe.

Does the Auris exist as a hatchback in the states?

As far as I can see most of the world just got a 10th generation Corolla. And for some reason they decided to change its name to Auris in certain parts of the world.

Oh and in Japan they also get the posh version (apparently) called the Toyota Blade.

I believe is called Toyota Corolla hatchback in the States.

The reason why Im asking, is because I want to find accessories to the Auris and would probly find more if I use the most common name.

Look under E140 and E150 too then.

What are you looking for, I'm sure there are some people here who can recommend suppliers.

And I think Parts King can get most standard parts & official upgrades at good prices, which is what I'd be looking at if I was modding one.

Due to high taxes and so on, standard parts & official upgrades is quite costly here in Norway. If I told you what I payed for my Auris, you'r jaw will drop thru the floor :D

I was actually looking for official carpet mats and boot liner for the Auris.

Now you mention it, I recall you saying so in another thread. That's a pain.

I guess you'll have to pay import taxes if you order them from the UK?

Posted

Depends on the value..

Under £20 = no taxes

Under £96 and it's a "gift" = no taxes

..25% taxes applies for all above values.

Well, theres a way of import parts to Norway that many car enthusiasts use. It's legit but not as easy as the "right to your mailbox" way:

  • 1. First, we get a mailbox in the closest city in Sweden from Oslo (90min drive).
    2. We order the parts to this mailbox (since Sweden is a part of the EU, they don't need to pay any import taxes from other EU countries).
    3. We drive to our mailbox, pick up the parts, buy some sigarettes and vodka, and drive home ( since we been out of the country, we can import stuff at a much higher value without paying taxes).

..

Although I have to pay taxes if I import parts for other countries, I actually can save a heck alot of money in the end..

the Auris "hatch" remains Corolla in Australia and it does have 2 Levin grades. Levin ZR & Levin SX. I drive the SX. The Badge actually looks pretty good on the car.

It's Auris, in Turkey.
