have a corolla T3 hatchback wondering if there's a switch to turn off the passenger airbags ? Want to put rear-facing child seat in front seat . Lots of warnings saying not to , any way of safely turn off the airbags.

Yes it can be done, but a child would be safer in the back seat.

When you open the front passenger door on the end panel of the dash ( which is covered with the door closed ) , there is a slot where you can insert the ignition key, this will turn off the front passenger air bag !!!

yep there is a little key type thing on the side of the front door im not to sure if it turns off drivers aswell just have a quick check
