Hey! I have a 05 plate Yaris T-sport - should the seats have 'memory'?

I thought they should but i can't see anything in the handbook

are they electric seats then?

Generally memory functions are an additional extra to the electric function - my Lexus didn't have it.

No - but i thought that in the 3 doors, when you adjust the back to let someone into the back of the car, it should click back to the position it was set in?

On the 3 door model I believe the passenger seat has memory but the drivers doesnt.... thats how I remember it on both my Yaris's....

Thats what i thought - but i need something 'official' as Mr T said it shouldn't have it. But they also told me my rattle was fixed and is isn't. Oh, and they damaged my headunit and are ordering me a new 1!

Nah they don't have memory. I think if you tilt the drivers side the seat stays where it is but the back moves (and doesn't return to where it was) and if you tilt the passenger side one, the whole unit (i.e. seat and back) shoot forward. Its crap.

and learn to live with the rattles!

It seems the same in the 3 door cars. In Celica the driver seat tilts forwards, while the passenger seat moves & tilts forward. If you push both seats back quick enough and I mean quick, you can get them back into their old position. If you don't then, its just a simple case of tilting the seat back. It's a pain, but a harmless one that takes seconds to sort out.

I would have - but after they damaged my dash and broke my CD player buttons they can keep trying to fix it.
