Hi all, my blowers not very powerful at all even on full! could this be the pollen filter blocked? or is it more likely a pipe has come off?

Cheers all!

I find that it is powerful...its just that it is exceptionally quiet.

I find the blowers are pretty weak also on my 02 T sport, a couple of weeks ago I took the pollen filter out thinking it was that but it didnt seem to make much of a difference.

Its quite easy to do, just remove the screw on the left hang side of your glovebox and pop the left and right sliders out until the glovebox comes out. You then have free access to the pollen filter which just slides out. They say you can give it a good dust off, I wouldnt recommend washing it like some people say as it would take ages to dry off - I just put the hover on it to suck out the accumulated leaves and dust.

I see where your coming from though, I had a fiesta zetec S before this and the blowers would really chuck the air out - enough to reshape your hair anyways.

Maybe the fan RPM is pretty slow in these cars?

Best check the pollen filter. I had this problem but when I replaced the pollen filter the fan works great even on the lowest setting. Give it a regular clean and it should last a for about 3 years.

If the car is older than 3 years and the pollen filter hasn't been replaced I'd recommend replacing it. A Toyota dealer should be able to sell you one for £25 (Expensive I know) and its a simple case of self-fitting.
