LMFAO, I saw your other post around 19:30 and switched over so I didnt miss the start, and low and behold it was half way through. Not a bad second half. Especially getting 3 of the worlds cleverist people to do burnouts in a 300zx

Well, incase you missed it, here is a run down (i luckily noticed)

1st, Porsche Cayenne. Great road car, fantastic offroader, ugly, only bought by footballers wives (BTW, these are all their comments)

2nd, Merc/Mclaren Supercar.. fantastic, really quick, etc etc, let down by plastic interior!

3rd, MG XSV, silly fast car, badly built, too expensive etc...

4th, burnout thing mentioned above.

5th, Best british car, Noble vs Morgan vs Rover 75..

Thats about it really...

Yeah, I dont think they showed a single car there i would buy...

As for the best british car, it would have to be TVR Tuscan for me...

If only i could afford one (and didnt need a backseat!)

personally im really indecisive about TVRs

kinda one of them who wouldnt own it but dont hate em sort of thing

been in a griffith and a cerbera

vaugly impressed with the performance. nothin special as far as im concerned.

the looks are nice specially with tuscan although sleek sports cars aint my cup'o'tea - much prefere more brutal looking things like the skylines

and the reliability issues! the newer cars are a lot better these days but the older ones were cack. the cerbera had its ecu or whatever it was (some sort of electronic box of gubbins) just sort of chucked under the passeneger seat and proceeded to rattle and bounce all over the place!

jaxx jaxx, jaxx!! what are u thinking m8??

a TVR is the very epitomy of masculinity!!! only a real man's man should own a TVR :thumbsup::yes:

It's a very raw driving experience, the one I went in (chimera) was still wheel spinning in 4th :fear:

I could think of better things to spend 60k on though :o  :bookworm:

They always look cheaply made to me... anything that's older than 2 years just seems to fall apart in my experience

Agreed that the Tuscan is a gorgeous brit car though

I'd have a noble ;)

merx SLR would make a nice daily "practical" car for when I'm minted :lol: can't deny it looks good ;)

my next car will either be a GS430 or a TVR ( Tamora  )

depends on whether she learns to drive or not.

The tamora's nice, but the Tuscan is only a few grand more, and I'd have to have the Tuscan out of the two..

we're talking hypothetically right now Ian - I haven't driven either of them.

The Tuscan does indeed look nicer, but have heard some horror stories about the build quality, which are supposed to have been addressed in the newer models.

When the time comes - I'll drive both - just to check.

Yeah, hypothecically....

I used to go to college 1/4 mile from the TVR factory, back in the days when they built the Griffith (and as they released the Cerbera)...

If I was to actually consider buying any TVR, it would have to be the Cerbera, basically because I need a rear seat for 2% of the time for work... But as you say Matt, I'd ensure I test drove every single model just to make sure I got the right one ;)

BTW?

is this the dictionary defintion of OFF TOPIC?

Two Lexus owners, discussing TVR's on a Toyota forum, in a thread about a TV show?

:D :lol::lol::lol:

I caught the last 10 mins (yes I thought it would be on at 8pm too)

Sounds like I missed a good show (which is rare for Top Gear).

Wish they would repeat them.

Thinx we should all, without saying out to the topGear ticket peeps get tickets to go and be there for the filming, could be quite amusing when the penny drops that the car park is full of toyota's and evry question gets answered in a Toyota fan styley? ;)

I have been trying to get tickets for the show for months :(

Car park full of Toyotas would make a change from it being full of scoobies.

I guess there is a long waiting list (unless you pay/register with the ticket site)

Lets invade
