hi,

just sold my corolla t sport and purchased a 2001 yaris 1.3 cdx 5 door. :D i miss my cts, but it was to costly to run.

i have ordered a set of gmax lowering springs and they are getting fitted at the weekend, has anyone already got them fitted? what they like?

gonna get some 16" wheels next and then a boot spoiler. where is the best place to get the spoiler from? any ideas?

thanks bert. ;)

May I be the first to say hello from the yaris side.

Just a note on the gmax springs if they are a 40mm drop, I think they will rub if you have 16s if you dont get the offset etc just right. I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong.

As for a spoiled, flea-bay or Toyota themselves. I think Envy do some as well.

Congratulations on buying a yaris, hope you enjoy as much as your cts.

thanks,

yep they lower by 40 mm. whats the correct wheel and tyre size for 16" wheels without rubbing then?

I know that the offset has to be between 38 and 45 but I am not 100% sure what is best for 16s. Most people seem to be heading back to 15s as they are cheaper to put tires on and are a lot easier to fit under lowered cars. I think you need to be between 38 and 40 with 4x100 PCD on 16s thou if you don't want them to rub.

I am in the process of choosing the components for lowering my yaris and have went on the recommendation of a lot of people on here, of Tein Springs and 15s with 195/50 rubber.

Teins lower 35 at the front and 38 at the back.

I am sure someone will be along with more experience than me, I am in the same situ, choosing springs and wheels. Plus note on 15s is they are normally lighter and tires are cheaper.
