Who Else Has A Mark 2 Tr?

I noticed something about my Mk.2 TR today.......

Having read the brochure well before buying my car, doing my research, I generally know the spec of the car off by heart. Walking back to my car in the supermarket car park today looking at the car as I got closer I noticed something I thought was different to the proper spec:-

Rear disc brakes B)

I thought I remembered from the brochure that only the 1.8 (in the SR) is supposed to have rear discs. So as soon as I got home I whipped out my copy of the brochure, and the TR supplemental brochure...... I was right, according to the brochure only the 1.8 SR is supposed to have rear discs, all other models (all trims and engines) are supposed to have front discs and drums at the rear!!

Is this right? Did Toyota change the spec after the brochure was printed? Have they accidently give me a free brake upgrade in the factory?

Does anyone else have a mark 2 1.4 D4D, or TR to compare what is fitted to theirs?

Rear discs are an option and come together with some kind of a stability system. Guess Mr T just forgot to mention that yours has the option installed :)

Ah that'll be it!

I did add the VSC option when I ordered, but they never told me that also upgraded the rear brakes, they just said it was the electronic stability control!
