xenon side lights :o

You're kidding surely. xenon lights are illegal in units that aren't designed for them. To be legal, you have new light units designed for Xenons, headlight washers and auto levelling. I can just about understand people getting away with xenon upgrades in existing headlights especially if they already have auto levelling and headlight washers.

But in a side-light I think you have no chance unless you spend thousands; you'll just dazzle every other driver you go near, increasing their chances of crashing into you quite significantly.

Not sure they're a good idea in fogs either; assuming you use your fogs when it's actually foggy*, you risk putting out much more light which in many circumstances will simply be reflected back into your eyes.

* I realise the current practice of about 90% of drivers is to use fogs when it's not foggy, and to drive on sides or no lights at all whenever visibility is reduced.

I have HID's in my dipped beams only.

Personally i would fit hid bulbs in my fogs, unless i got some yellow 3000k ones.

I originally has 8000k bulbs, which look nice, but visibility in them is pretty poor so went on to 4300k.

The HID's are not so bad in a gen7 as they have stock projectors.. so dont tend to dazzle people as much, as long as you block off the little holes in the projectors.

Although i have since retrofitted some 350z lenses into my stock lamps, and have them self levelling.

Hi, for side lights you need LED bulbs (W501), for dipped beam - H7 HID kit, and also you can convert2xenon foglights (H3 kit), I always advice to buy from UK based sellers (less problems with warranty)
