Corolla T-Sport with sounds like a WRC...

Hi dirvers!!!!!

For who like a incredible sound, like a WRC or a Kit-car, LISTEN:

You have to go to the filter air box after opening you have to fit the filter with the cup of the filter box, I used wire to keep fit the cup to the filter. Then, use the tie to keep up the cup box. So, the engine take air from the normal conduct an for the side (both left and right). Now, you must listen the change of the sound. In the first day or few hours, the computer are going to shown more consm. fuel, but it´s going to stabilize. Please, tell me your experience.

Bye- T-Sport is now much radical car.

Alright TS,

Very interesting to hear what you have done especially as there are no proper induction kits available for the T-sport yet (when are companies going to start make kit for this excellent car?) I am having trouble imagining what you have done though, so if you can post any photos or explain alittle more that would be cool. Cheers. JohnB

As I now have my T-Sport I have tried this and it does go some way to solve the induction kit problem that I have been trying to do. The only probl;em with your way of doing it is that fastening the air filter the the top of the box with wire is not a very secure way of sealing the filter. Tomorrow at work (I work for Toyota UK by the way) I will try and make a couple of clamps for the filter box and some way of securely raising the filter lid off the bottom of the air box if what I make is workable I will take some photos of the clamps and of the finished result.

Hi Simon.

Alright mate I also work for Toyota at Burnaston!!! If you have any luck with the filter let me know and I'll have to have a look. Cheers. JohnB

Well I've made the air filter clamp and raised the lid off the air box by 30mm. the car seems fairly stable running like this and the noise the car now makes when you accelerate is unbelievable :D when I have sprayed it up tomorrow, I'll take some photos of the clamp and the the mod to the air box when I get home.

Hello

We can do an HKS induction system for £155 plus vat

Mark :)

Mark (tdi)

Does the HKS induction kit require any cutting to the original air box?

Also do you do any other bits for the Corolla.

If the HKS induction kit is anything like the one on the MR2, it replaces the original airbox completetly, nice big black pipe with HKS on it and a nice mushroom filter on the end !

Hi peeps,

Rhaines, do you think £155+vat is a good price for the HKS induction kit, or should I shop around? Do they give any power increase? And are they easy to fit? Cheers

Hi again,

Simon, what difference do the new white bulbs give you? Also have you had a chance to photo the home made air box upgrade? cheers

Hi JB,,,,,,,,

maybe we can get a discount if we buy more than one...............:D

Hi Jake,

Good idea, I'll have to e-mail them and ask. Also want to find out the price of the Blitz kit. These two companies are probably the two best Jap performance specialists out there. As soon as I find out I'll let you know. By the way how much did you pay for your wheels and tyres if you don't mind me asking? Do you know what the correct offset is? and is there anything else I need to consider before buying any? Cheers

My car is exactly how I bought it, I haven't had to make any changes (well apart from the warranty work posted on the forum earlier), if your on about my rims they're Racing Sparco Crimsonetta's, I can't find any UK suppliers so can't help out on cost.

From what I recall the price seems pretty good, I'll ask around and see what I can find out. As for the offset again I'll post later will do some digging.

Only other thing to take into consideration that I can think of in my hungover state today is the extra cost of your rubber on bigger alloys.
