Frustrating Clutch Problem

Hi,

I installed an exedy clutch into a st185 carlos sainz celica and it won't go into gear, as in the clutch fork won't disengage the clutch plate.

I inspected the clutch before install and everything is fine, it was aligned properly, clutch release bearing was replaced and installed securely. When the clutch pedal is pushed in, it sufficiently pushes the clutch fork back so im thinking that the clutch tubes don't need bleeding.

I bought the clutch off eBay, so im starting to think it is a dodgy clutch or not the right type for the car

has anyone on here had similar problems and found a solution

any help or comments appreciated
