Failed On Emissions

Mt 2000 1.8 vvti (70k miles) has just failed its MOT due to high co and hydrocarbon emissions. CEL light had come on a few days ealier. Codes indicated both a failed lambda and MAF sensor. Both have been replaced and the CEL is out but emissions are still high! My local independant garage is running out of ideas. Any one here have any suggestions?

Apparently emissions are ok from tickover to 3K rpm, over which they shoot up!

Help!

thanks

Tony

Could try a fuel additive called catacleaner, can improve your emissions. I think it may be for borderline car. It was tested by car mechanic mag before and it worked
