I have been reading the forums for a while now, finally decided to become a member. I have bought an Aygo about one year ago, and was so pleased that one month ago, I bought another one, same options, color, everything. I don't know if this happened to anyone else (did not happen on my first aygo):

As soon as i go over 20 km/h (about 2500 revs) in the first gear, a sound appears, just like engine braking and keeps getting louder. The car works perfectly fine, just that noise keeps bothering me. The other gears do not make the same sound, and I do not miss any gears. Also, the sound when I put it in any gear is normal. The engine is the normal 1.0 petrol.

I am thinking that maybe it's because the car has only done like 300 km (200 miles) since I bought it, and the sound will stop eventually, but if it doesn't, I'll have to take it back to the dealer.

I think you're not "meant" to go over 2500 or 3000 rpm for the first 600 miles or something like that.

Take it back anyway to get an engineer to look at it.

Well actually, the dealer said to drive it how i want, and the recommended first 600 miles is 2/3 maximum revs, 2/3 maximum speed, so 4000 and about 110 top speed. And since the max torque is 3600 revs.. i don't want to know what car doesn't allow you to change gears for the first 600 miles at top torque. I'll get it to the dealer during this week.
