Hi. Im looking for help.

I have recently bought a Toyota Estima 2000 (x reg) and have one remote locking key. It is getting battered and has now been glued so i thought before it falls apart i'd get another sorted. I knew this wouldnt be cheep as i have lost a Nissan key in the past and had to pay £150 for a new one... but no-one seems to be able to help. My local Toyota dealer wont touch it. Just said we dont do imports. Ive called a couple of key cutting/programing people and they have also said cant help. I am in the Essex area. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Why don't you join one of the Estima forums

You could also try one of the European Toyota dealers. They don't seem to have a chip on their shoulders like Toyota GB when it comes to imports. I am sure if you could get a hold of one and gave them your chassis details they could help out. Try a Dutch dealer as they typically speak English.

Additionally you might find someone on these forums who has the Toyota Parts List for these cars. With the correct part code for your key you could just keep trying different UK Toyota agents until you find a friendly one, and yes there are a few who are willing to help. They are not all a***holes.

Best of luck.

I recently purchased a estima 2013, but only have one remote key. How can I get another key?

Hi, my key is not a remote but I got a key cloned at a local key cutting shop works perfect cost fifty pounds. On a 2002 Estima central locking works from drivers door lock.

As Tony suggests....find a local key cutting shop or a vehicle key specialist and they should be able to provide you with a spare key with a cloned chip that gets you past the immobiliser..it may not have a remote function though.

I'm assuming your Estima has the standard door locks/keyholes.?..if not then it maybe an issue that only Toyota can solve.

Where in the world are you.?
