Welcome. Can't help with a specific price, but can tell you it comes in group 1 - which is the cheapest. I haven't had a car for 15 years (therefore no - no claims bonus) but with a clean licence & being over 25, I paid £230 through Tesco. They are doing £50 cashback if you sign up before April 2nd (so effectively £180 for me).The Post Office were coming out pretty good for me as well & I think they are also doing £50 cashback at the moment (according to their adverts with that fat bloke). Both are worth looking at.Only had my Aygo for 2 weeks (new Platinum) & would highly recommend it - so easy to drive & so cheap to run. Would be ideal first car for a young person or anyone in fact.Hope this helps.

Best thing to do is go online and get some quotes! ;)

Try places like moneysupermarket, gocompare & confused.com.

Depends on your age, Where you live as well.

I'm 21, First car got a quote of £1100 with Liverpool Victoria and thats with decent excesses if anything should happen to it.

I've just sorted out insurance for my 'Blue' and I was under the impression it was going to be cheap, WRONG!

Let me explain; I currently have a Golf Gti cabrio. as my summer 'toy' and this car is rated as an insurance group 16 vehicle, however, with only 3 years NCD I am paying £147 fully comp. albeit with limited milage. The cheapest I can get my 'noo bloo' (ins. group 1a) is with my current daily drive insurerer @ £176, and that's with 8 years NCD (and I don't have any claims or convictions in the last 5 years etc.). As I have been a member of SAGA for a couple of years now (:wheelchair: ) I imagined that I would be insuring this little car for close to £100, but It's not to be!

When I challenged one company as to the ludicrously high cost of their policy (nearly £300), I was told that that the premium was high due to it being a new car and expensive to repair......... What a load of b*%%*ck$ !!!!

Rant over, so I'm off to get some blood pressure tablets now..........
