Considering Changing To A Corolla

Current car is a 2001 1.3 Yaris GLS

Thinking of changing it to a Corolla Hatchback 2.0 D4D (SR or T-Spirit or T3)

What are the known common problems with the car?

Is it worth me even changing it?

Im thinking of going a year debt free from Feb 2009. So ill likely change it 2 years from now.

That is a rather generic looking shape Corolla. The only one worth having is the A.E.102 body shape from '93. You can pick one up for around £1500. Good little cars. The diesel is really economical as well. If your lucky you will find the G.X.I. model which is a fantastic looking machine, but it's a Coupe though so it might not be as practical.
