Engine Swap 1zz-t75 Or T85

My 2000 celica GT recently was starved for oil and you can guess what happened next  . So I am looking for a new engine. On the side of the engine it has in big letters 1ZZ-T75. Most of the engines that I have found have 1ZZ-T85. Does any one know what the difference is between the T75 and T85. They are both from the same year and both are engine code "R". Also is there any differences in the engine for an 4 spd Automatic and a 5 spd Manual.

Thanks for your time

It'll be the transmission type I suspect.

On the second half of the engine coding on most Toyotas of the three characters the second is normally the transmission type. So a T75 is likely a manual engine and a T85 an auto.

So long as the engines are from the same vehicle type and year the only difference should be at the transmission end of the engine. On an auto you'll have a drive plate to transmit the power from the engine to the gearbox. On a Manual you'll have a flywheel and clutch arrangement.
