Hi everyone,

I'm Tom and I'm 9 days away from taking delivery of a new Aygo Platinum 5dr. I'm really looking forward to it, can't wait.

This will be my first new car, and like a few people on here I've actually traded down. I used to (well still do for a few more days) drive a Mazda 323 which is starting to get expensive to repair, tax and fuel. The tax on it is £185, a huge difference to the £35 Aygo.

I love the fact that the Aygo knows it's a cheap car and doesn't try to do too much. All I need is something to get me around in relative comfort and won't cost me too much. Toyota seem to have saved money in areas where it wouldn't be noticed, They could have charged extra for a radio with an mp3 connection but they didn't, they know it would be a must have feature for many, like me.

Of course time will tell if it lives up to my expectations but all the reviews I have read are very positive. I only wish it had a bigger tank, 35 litres doesn't seem much to me, I know I could get 400 miles out of it and it's not intended to be a long distance car but I do more than that sometimes.
