In this country? 70 mph! :P

Sorry, couldn't resist.

The Aygo will do 90mph+ if really pushed and can comfortably go between 55mph to 75mph for overtaking etc. I tend to stick to 60-ish purely for economy but it will go much quicker when worn in :)

I tend to sit at 85ish. That way you don't loose much momentum on long motorway hills. I still get 50mpg or better even at this speed.

Tut Tut can't say I don't do the same.

I always drive in the right lane at 54 mph for maximum slipstream from other cars and so i get the best economy. I wonder why people are always flashing :S

So Far about 600 of the 700 miles i have done in my new platimun has been at 80ish on the M1, However according to my sat nav the Speedo is over reading by about 5MPH at 80 on the Speedo, meaning i am actually doing about 75.

Anyone else noticed this? If the ODO is linked to the Speedo then this will be affecting the ecopnomy calculation as it will say that the car has gone futher than it actually has, and obviously will say the car has done more miles than it has come resale time which is no good!

So far i have been averaging 45mpg but it is getting better every time i fill up.

There is always a 3/4 mph of a difference from what the speedo says. It all depends on your tyres, the weather and other factors. Nothing to worry about its the same for all cars.
