New Yaris Owner

I have recently purchased a Toyota Yaris (2004, 1.3L) and it'd be great to get any advice on how to maintain my car from other Yaris owners. Although I haven't tried yet(!) I think will be able to check the engine oil and water coolant levels, but I had some specific questions I was hoping to get help from...

- What type of engine oil is most suitable for a 1.3L Yaris? (I have googled it and found the recommended engine to be Mobil 1 10W-30, is this right?)

- How often should I do engine oil and water coolant level checks?

- Do I also need to check power steering liquid levels regularly? (And how would I go about doing this?)

- Should I adjust the engine oil levels myself or would it be advisable to get someone more experienced to do this?

- Do I need to adjust brake fluid levels? What type of brake fluid is suitable?

As you can see, I'm rather lost! And i want to get it right, right from the beginning, hence why I am here and doing my research! If anyone knows of any helpful websites, or has any hints and tips for a lost driver, please respond! Any help would be much appreciated.
