Keyless Entry Problems

Hi All,

Hope someone can help.

I have a 12month old Toyota Hilux. it has been parked at my residence every day since then.

Over night the keyless entry key wont lock or unlock the car at my house. Drive it to the shop or to my work place and they work.

So obviously there is no problem with the car system or the key.

Does anyone know what could be blocking the signal at my house.

We havn't installed a garage door or anything like that. Nothing has changed at our place.

I think that the Toyota Dealership thinks that I am nuts.

Someones help would be great.

Hello and welcome to TOC

Is your house located anywhere near any electro magnetic interference? (Overhead Power cables, Phone transmitter etc.)

It could be that the keyless system is picking up interference.

Toyota should be able to sort it out under warranty

i have a 2018 single cab hilux that has a problem with the keyless entry system. it wont lock with the keypad but will unlock when you manually lock the doors, also the door light on the dash stays on all the time and the interior light is also on constantly, i have had another body control changed and reprogrammed and still the same. would anyone have any ideas?

For  Muggy  ,   where is your spare key fob located , anywhere close by ?  Had similar problem , turns out my spare was in wife's car close by  causing same drama .  H .
