New Boy On The Block

Just picked up my 02 Celica T Sport on Saturday in the deep south of England. Wife says it's a mid-life crisis thing but I go for that.

So, my motoring history is s bit eratic but started with a Triumph Spitfire mkIV 1.3 way back in the late 70s (i don't think of myself as middle aged, just young at heart), moved to a Mini 1275GT, then a Triumph 1850 HL(what a car, loved it. Great comfort), then a Vauxhall Chevette 1300 (found the love of my life at this point and moved down cars), then came a brand new Astra 1300 (and a new kid, a girl Saz), next a second hand Astra Estate with another one a year later but a 1600 this time, sold that and got a Honda Civic 1.5 VTEC-e, Then a split new Honda Civic 1.4 this time. Moved up in the company they gave me a car so I paicked a Honda Accord 2.2 Sport CDTI-i. That goes back in June so picked up the Celica. Boring maybe but some good motoring in there!

So looking forward to chatting with you guys over the piece and, Happy Motoring :D :D

Welcome Willie.

Pleased to see you've managed to give up the Honda's ;)

Actually I've never had one - apart from the two wheeled variety - but some of them are pretty good cars.

The Celica's a blast though. Enjoy.

T600, Thanks for the welcome.

The CDTI-i is the best car I've had the pleasure of owning. I'm a bit sad it has to go back. However, my son has done 60 of the 80k it's travelled. Maybe he should be the one to describe the ride.

Looking forward to the T Sport. According to the Top Gear website, they liked it and gave it quite a good write up so let's see if they were correct. Although, they day say that the Chilli Red wasn't as nice as the Silver. I disagree. My T Sport is Chilli Red and stands out from the crowd in any car park. In fact on our way home yesterday, we were in a Motorway Services car park when a silver Celica drove in. It didn't look as good as ours, in my opinion!!
