1.3 G6 Gearbox Into A 1.6 Gs?

i have a 98 1.6 GS corolla and i bought a 98 1.3 G6 for parts.would it be possible to fit the 6 speed gearbox into the GS or would the ratios be wrong?has anyone done this before?

at a guess I'd say the two were totally different as they were from different sized engines. but i might be wrong

won't work i'm afraid, the two engine aren't compatible. the G6R (the rare 1.6L model) would fit your GS but the 1.3L G6 gearbox won't fit i'm afraid

wondering have you swapped the gearbox yet, i have a 1.6 engine to go into my 1.3 g6, hope it fits
