I know this has a technical thread further down somewhere, but won't the dealership fit one at all??

I miss a counter as the car is reasonably quiet and with the radio on sometimes it's not possible to hear what the engine is doing.

has it got to be a DIY?

if so im snookered :(

I suggest you google "Scangauge II". Fitting is easy as using a car cigarette lighter

If you can work a household plug socket, then you can install it. It has a digital rev counter among a million other things (mpg, air/water temp, mph etc.), for less than the price of an Aygo rev counter

It simply plugs into the white scart like socket, near the center console, at the bottom of the driver's side dash

I've got one and it's ace

SooZ.... don't let the DIY aspect put you off. I followed the instructions shown earlier in this section and I can tell you it is as easy as can be and takes less than 15 minutes if you don't rush.

Go for it and buy one and fit it yourself, it really is sooooo easy to do :D

If you lived near me, I'd hapily fit it for you, free of charge. It really is VERY simple, especially if you also buy the

cowling wilt precut hole. If you have to cut the hole yourself it's abit more work, but still not really that much...

Now that is a nice offer.... can any generous TOC member, who lives near SooZ, do a good deed?

Bodywork here, I had a counter fitted after sales, car had done 4.000 miles, no problem with the dealer.

Can you buy the specific Aygo Blue surround for the speedo with the space precut for the rev counter?

Posted

The revcounter should be available with a blue ring, the new cowling for the speedo that's supplied with the

revcounter might have a grey surround, but it's only held in place on the cowling with 3 or 4 barbs that are

easily disconnected with a srewdriver, so you can just swap the front surround from the old to the new cowling...
