Right folks, I have the locking wheel nuts but i need the bolts for them, the compnay that supplied my wheels said that they dont supply them although they said the wheels should fit right on, they are currently on by the bolts that come with non alloys which my locking wheel nuts wont fit. How do I get these and what size ie. fitment are they??

Vicky, not all bolts are made equal.

I think you need to clarify exactly what you need, or you'll end up with the wrong thing. Bolts for steelies tend to be different to the ones required for alloys, and different ones can be needed according to the type of alloy. I'd go to a specialist and find out exactly what you need before you use the wrong thing and either damage your wheel, or worse lose one completely.

Also, you say you need bolts, but have locking nuts. Which does your car have - bolts that go into holes in the hub flange, or nuts that bolt onto studs coming out of the flange?

Aygo have bolts, you need a locking bolt and NOT a locking nut Vicky

Sounds like somebody fobbed you off with a nut that isnt going to fit.....this nut is excluded.........:D:

Well locking nut/bolt. I mean the bit that screws the alloy into the car the long screw. I'm not a very technical person so I've no idea what they are called.

Then if what you have is a locking wheel bolt, and if it's the right one for your car / wheels combination, don't you just need to remove one of the existing bolts and replace it with the locking one?

And check that the other bolts are correct for your car / wheels.

I originally had wheel trims and the bolts are different the top of the bolts are hex shape.

I can't help you on what you need, but there IS one thing you need to remember:

if you've got alloys on your car now you need to have an extra set of bolts for the

steel spare wheel as those are different from the bolts forthe alloys.

The top of most bolts - with the possible exception of locking bolts - are hex shape.

Wheel trims shouldn't come into it. They aren't usually held in place using bolts - rather they fit over the top of the bolts.

But if you had steel wheels, then the bolts (locking or otherwise) for those are probably not suitable for your alloy wheels; they're probably too short, and the wrong shape (where they meet the wheel).

Well I will be going to toyota tomorrow to get some then cos the ones that are holding the wheels in at the moment are the ones that came with the steelies

Just get somebody to make sure the Toyota bolts actually fit the wheels you bought, you didnt buy Toyota wheels???

I know that sounds basic, but did your new wheels come with new bolts? if they did, they might not be the same as Toyota bolts

Been to toyota the wheel nuts that come with toyota wheels will not fit the alloys that I bought as they are aftermarket. THe wheel nuts that came with the Steel wheels are fine for the alloys and I just need to find a locking wheel nut that is hex shape.
