1.4 D-4d Plastic Cover Is Missing?

I borrowed the following picture from mimmihin1's post to show you the plastic that covers the Battery and is missing from my car.

Do all the 1.4 D-4D cars have the plastic?

It appears that not all have them

I have just checked out some specific vehicles and it comes back as not applicable, but I can find a part number for it for certain cars, very strange!

Have noticed this myself before. The 1.4D dont have the plastics covers/battery cover fitted from factory.

I think that only the 1.4 d-4d model is the one that appears not having it!

I don't have that plastic cover on my 1.4 D4D.

No 1,4 D4D has the cover, but all the brackets is in place, Have not tried it myself, but I guess you could by the cover for one of the other engines, and it will fit right on!

What's the advantages in having those plastic covers?
