Flickering Battery Light...the Saga Continues

Well as has become tradition its time for the monthly trip to the toyota dealers...................flickering Battery light, round 3.

was told originally it was a dodgy cable, that failed, then the alternator, thats failed, now what..........anyone had this happen?

what was it etc etc etc.

dunno mate, i just leave it all to toyota. but it wont be long before i have to start problem solving......again!

maybe find a new dealer ?

phone customer care and give em hell :) ?

not a chance, york have stuck by the car when inchcape nottingham couldn wait to get rid. york have fitted 3 sets of discs, 6 exhausts and a ecu....amongst many other bits

in the exhaust downpipe there is a divider for no real reason (makes the exhaust note meatier) but when the exhaust gets hots/cold hot/cold etc etc it snaps the welds, hey kept sending new ones (5 off) but they all failed after a month (each one) so there final solution was to fit a 2007 spec ecu, exhaust and lambner sensors (im told im the only one with this mod...)

i dont intend on keeping my stock manifold for long tbh

if it goes pete tong il remove the divider and be done with it

its not the manifold its the big section with the cat and everything built in (£1200 fitted by toyota) that ha the divider in. i told them to take in out and it sounds like the exhaust is blowing. they even took it to a fabricator and welded it (mig/tig) and that lasted 6 wks. so you are pretty stuffed unless you push for the '07 mod
