Should I have the gearbox oil checked or changed ??

I no nothing about cars but I don't ever remember the local dealer mentioning anything at service time .

Due every 4 yrs/36k miles from memory, I would advise do it anyway for peice of mind unless you know when the last change was, Use a good 75/90 semi syn oil (im assuming its a manual)

Might as well change the frt and rear diff oils as well and then its done (80/90 in the diffs)

There are as many bits in a gearbox as an engine, its not worth missing

On the 4.1 its 30,000 miles or 24 months.

Thinking about it I seem to remember them doing an oil change last year but I think that was the standard ENGINE oil ... unless they are the same thing ??
