Plastic Steering Wheel Bits

I really badly messed up while painting them! and i need to remove them to give them a good sandown and paint them neatly and also remove the paint on the audio control buttons. Does anyone know how to remove them. Had a topic up here a while ago and i managed to paint once but was less patient and scuffed up real bad!

There are two screws when you tilt the steering they are a weird shape star like screw...any ideas on how to release those or even get to the stereo controls.

anyhelp would be greatly appreciated.

Also model is a corolla e12...T3 i think the style of the steering wheel with the two plastic bits is the same as on the T Sport, Other corolla models etc.

Think there was a thread about this a while back??

You'll need a torx screwdriver IIRC.

And best to disconnect the Battery to avoid setting off the airbag!!
