Hi, it could be coming out of your dipstick tube as some tend to leak out as a result of the automatic oil transfer system puting too much oil in the engine .

It really is ****** out when I take it for a run,but when the oil level is on minimum on the dipstick it seems to stop, any ideas?

The best thing to do is tip the seats back, open the engine covers , clean off as much oil as possible. top the oil up and start the engine then just stand there with a torch and wait ,as you should be able to see more of the engine from the top.

Daryl has already given you the most likely cause which is your automatic filling system. In the front of the car you have a 2L oil reservoir and its role is to top up the engine when a low level is detected. The detection is done my a float system in the sump.

If these engines are not serviced every 3000 miles the oil turns into gunk in the sump and other areas. This gunk collects on the float and impedes its operation. If stuck in the low position it will constantly be telling the auto unit to send oil and when too full this has only one place to go which is out your dipstick tube. Best you start here and if need be drop the sump and ideally flush the engine.

The oil isnt coming from the dipstick nor is it taking it from the oil resivoir, someone told me that it could be the return oil pipe from the turbo, could this be right and how serious is it?

Also check the large hose going back to the intercooler. The sump breather pipe goes into this and oftens causes oil to pool in the lowest part. If the problem is with the return oil pipe from the turbo, get one from a scrapper and just replace it, or contact some of those breaking Eminas/Lucidas on eBay and get a replacement return pipe from them.

Eric
