Rear Window

I know this is a strange question, but has anyone ever had there back window shatter for no reason?

I woke up on suday morning to find my rear window shattered, the glass was everywhere, it wen over the next door neighbours garden over the drive gates. when i cleaned up the glass there was no sign of anything that could of done it i.e bricks, stones etc

Also my Celi is close to 140k miles, what sort of condition is the engine likely to be in and how much longer will it last before it gives up on me?

Not on a Celi, only on an almost new Escort back in the 90's, a Company Car I hasten to add :)
