Update, update - Just been informed that after 4 months of work, 1 month of which it has been at Technical Services that the problem is fixed...... and the problem was? A CORRODED EARTH WIRE!!! :o

:angry::angry: Not happy - what do you think I should for compenation wise? It came out of warranty in Feb this year

As long as it was originally reported to them within the warranty period it should be free of charge any way :-)

You'll get nowt if you don't ask!

Belair I would be really grateful if you could find out exactly which wire was corroded as I can't see yours being much different to any other and we can watch for it in future.

Of course I will, I am getting a full breakdown of everything that has been replaced and I'll get them to specify which wire.

I expect at least an extended warranty and some other bits chucked in as it was a third of a year!!
