Squealing Noise, Suspect Aux Belt?

Well, I've had my gen7 five weeks now and it has just started making a sqealing noise. It's not really loud but I can hear it most as i'm coming to a halt. However, the noise stops once I've come to a halt. Think it could be the aux belt, the brakes or something more sinister?

Well, I've just got back from the garage. Turns out it was the brakes! On close inspection, the back of the front brake discs were heavily corroded and need replacing. They are replacing my front discs and pads free of charge under the warranty. So that's good news.

Glad you got it sorted, I think all us Gen 7 owners have been there with the brake corrosion issue. I've just replace mine again, but this time not bothered going for Toyota OEM, but EBC instead. The one's I took off had only been on two years and they were starting to show some signs of deterioration. I think Toyota discs are probably good for about 3-4 years / 25,000 - 35,000 miles if you don't drive like your trousers are on fire all of the time.

I have heard that gen7 brake discs are a bit on the poor side. My car is 5 years old with 30k on the clock, so I guess my discs are probably the originals. Just hope the back ones are good for a while.
