Hobbies

Just wondering, we all have a common interest through our cars, but what other interests have you got?

Me, I have two large fish tanks (both marine), one being a reef tank in the lounge, corals, anenomes, crabs etc. And one in the hallway with venomous Lionfish. And motorbikes, though I'm between bikes at the minute :(

So whats yours?

PS: Drinking lager and smoking cigs doesn't count, as I do both as a necessity not a hobby :P

Snooker - not a bad player

otherwise, going out with friends takes most of my time so i count that as a hobby.

apart from the cars I also have fish., all freshwater, 3 tanks, the larger (150 gallons) has a freshwater stingray anda MBu puffer.. few ornamental plecs.. you know..

outside have a 10 000 gallon koi pond.. I worked at maidenhead aquatoc for a year and at one point was running my local branch, so the fish featured pretty healily in my time spent on stuff!!!

most of my time is either working on my cars, sitting on my ***** online drinking beer, or sleeping tho

Ermmm Sailing ( ent's and Lasers) Windsurfing ( abroad...as it's too god damn cold in the UK)

chess (www.letsplaychess.com i'm "The Viper" send a game my way)

Athletics....used to run for England....ermm about 10 years ago....then ermm broke my leg while walking a girl home at uni....I dunno....

Travel.....comes in handy when marrying a Travel Consultant!

Food and drink..... need to mention food...as drink goes well with it.

breathing..in...out.... one of my favorite pastimes.

Computing/IT/Security.

:censor: off the neigbours by suing them when they build...do something they arn't

allowed to do ( three recent victories!)...hmmm wonder why they don't talk to me much these days.....

feeding the birds....sounds lame this one...I'm no Bird watcher...but the :censor: are costing me a fortune in bird seed...and they seem to be very particular in what they like....seems the majority have a appetite for sunflower hearts. quite like watching them though. Best count so far 26 birds ( various varieties) on my birdtable ... or sat on fence waiting their turn.

Have a couple of doves...with off spring...who visit daily...for their bath....10-11am guranteed and 15-16 guarrenteed.

ahhhh tugs at the heart strings...... spent £20 the other day for more bird seed.....may see me through the week...if i;m lucky!

Scuba diving. I'm qualified PADI (open water diver) and SAA club diver.

I trained and passed my qualification in England (during Easter) extreamly cold. We still diving in England but I much prefer to Scuba dive abroad and have been several times to the Red Sea, We;ve dived in many countries abroad.

I also enjoy the gym although this I wouldn't class as a hobbie more as a necessatie.

I love music and couldn't be without it. I also love driving.

I do sort of have a collection (although I don't collect avidly) of Louis Wain art.

I did it independantly

spent many years in the building trade.. one day i was approached to build a 20,000 gallon pond.... I enjoyed every moment of it.

I installed the filter systems (clover leaf systems) with UV systems, bottom drained and waterfall

basically ended up very much like a swimming pool in the end.

I loved it I decided to start my own business in it. I did quite a few on my own and ended up doing more stuff like landscaping, braick paving, patios as well as the ponds.

There were about 2 companies doing this in our area and I used to go in and undercut them LOL

Turns out I got my dad into them .... so much he now helps run a Koi club and has a 20,000 gallon pond himself which we built last year.

I myself ended up getting mixed into computers and it was warmer indoors!

I have lost my contacts.. this was 5 years ago.. I did very well in it and many people in the business knew me and offered me their crappy work... which was fine with me.. any work was better than no work.
