Ae92 Gti-16 Rear Brake Caliper Carrier

Hi folks,

I need a passanger side rear brake caliper carrier...!

A new caliper is ready to go on, however the old carrier is done :(

My local dealer is useless, given them the car details (reg & chassis no.) twice now but still no help!

Fensport don't have one.

Nor eBay.

Tried a couple of breakers, nothing.

Can anyone help?

Got one, or point me in the right direction!?

Would a carrier off an AE82 or mk1 MR2 fit? Or anything else for that matter!

I'll take a caliper & carrier complete so long as the carrier is OK. :D

try "brakes engineering" in wrexham - i'm sure they have a website. i found them very helpful and the recon calipers i had from them were spot on. i got the calipers on a exchange basis - the kit included the carriers so they might sell you them seperately.

Hopefully they can help, I've almost finished preparing the car for hillclimbs & sprints and the only thing keeping her off the road / track is this carrier! After all the hassle of getting the suspension, roll cage, etc. done it's a simple thing like a caliper carrier keeping her grounded!!! Frustrating!!!

strange? they could help me with my gxi and thats a rarer car. would they not do a complete unit if they couldnt sell just the carrier? you could always sell the caliper. whats wrong with your original carrier? try ringing breakers yards in the midlands - corollas popular in that part of the country. birmingham and nottingham are usually good areas for second-hand jap parts.
