'03 Plate T-sport - Paint And Brakes Advice Please

Hi

First of all thanks to everyone, this site helped me decide to buy my lovely T-Sport last August. :D

It's an '03 plate in silver/grey with matching leather - lovely!

Just had a service done at main dealer with 31,000 miles. Bit steep at £215 but thought it best to keep the dealer service history.

Bit of advice needed, dealer says front and rear pads and discs need replacing soon - fair enough with the mileage - but have quoted £550 inc VAT for the job. Looking on the forum here that seems expensive with other members getting quality third party pads & discs for half that. I don't thrash the car in any way so don't need anything *extra* special.

Need a decent garage in either the Humberside or Wearside areas who won't rob me blind basically - any recommendations?

I used to change pads & discs on my old Peugeot 406 no problem but this is in a different league...

Also the paint is chipping and peeling very badly on the front bumper any recommendations for getting that sorted? I mainly do motorway miles and I know they are prone to this.

Thank You!

Thanks, that's the best guide I've ever seen for changing discs & pads. Think I'll have a bash myself after all.

Any recommendations for discs & pads in particular?

Thanks
