Apexi Power Fc - Does It Do The Following For The Mr2?........

Recommended Posts

I Recently put in an order for an Apexi Power FC ECU replacement.

I have a 92 MR2 turbo

But what I'm wondering will it do the following?...

1. Eliminate the FCD

2. Eliminate the Speed Restriction of 180kmph (Jap import)

3. Allow me to control boost pressure of turbo

4. Allow conversion from KM/H to MPH for Speedo

5. Convert Fuelling to 95RON from Jap 100RON.

Can the ECU be tuned to do all this or will I still need to use all the devices to do those things above?

Any input is much appriciated.

It should be fine for all of the above. But I think you still need a boost controller if I'm right?

You sure?

Ive been reading up on it and I think you can adjust the boost pressure with the ecu, but then it is stuck at that value.

I think you can buy an addon for the power fc that allows you to adjust on the fly.

can anyone confirm?

What is a safe enough value to run the stock turbo on stock engine? (i only have upgraded intake and exhaust, nothing else), stock is 0.7bar i think.

If you want to control boost you need the sold seperately boost solenoid.. circa £240 ish but i fail to see why ur going PFC with such little mods?????.....

As jim said 1 bar is fine but really you want i/c and other mods before spending big cash on PFC, it just does not make sense,

as for converting to 95 ron are you mad??, a tubby wants n needs as close to 100 as poss.. V power all the way m8.

if i were you i'd sink cash into a good intercooler or charge cooler and good boost controller (A'pexi avc-r all the way) before spending money on a PFC.

just my opinion but the route i'm taking.
