Trouble With Parts

Hi just wondering if there are any other other Compressor owners out there who are having/have had any trouble getting hold of parts?

Took my Compressor into my local Mr T to get new front shocks and he said he couldn't get the parts in for a week; fair enough I thought.

Went back a week later, after 4 hours on the ramp they told me they had ordered the wrong parts as they had ordered the T-Sport shocks as oppose to the Compressor ones which I told them when I took it in in the first place they would need.

Said they would have them in another week, the week's now up and they are now saying that they cannot get hold of Compressor parts at the minute as they are no longer in regular production! They have told me they should have an update for me in the next couple of weeks or so but that just really isn't good enough!

Anyone have any similar experiences to share?

In 3 years of loyal Toyota ownership and 4 different cars their customer service has never failed to disappoint me. What's worrying is that Toyota are supposed to be one of the better manufacturers customer service wise!! I would hate to see what a bad (alright French) one was like!!

I am seriously losing my rag with Toyota!!

Arrrggghhh!!!

I am not aware that the compressor shocks are different from the T Sport shocks, my listing says they are the same, and they are available off the shelf at Toyota. Have you been given any part numbers for this "alleged" non availability? If so, let me have them and I will look into it for you

well my compressor went in for a flickering Battery light and iv been told its a 2 week wait on the wiring loom and alternator belt that they are planning on replacing because alot of the stuff comes from Belgium or Japan

although i had my rear shocker replaced a month or two ago and that was done within 2 days.

And your right the shocks are Eibach (who supposidly offer a lifetime guarantee)

Sorry to wade in on another thread like fellas, but while the discussion is on suspension does anyone know roughly how much firmer the compressor set up is over the standard T-Sport?? Just looking to change mine eventually to stiffen the handling up on a facelift, so would consider that of the compressor if there's much improvement.

Cheers and sorry again! :P

Cheers guys, it's good to know I'm not the only one having problems!!

Just seems like with the Compressor being such a rare car/Toyota turning it's back on it's performance range that:

1: None of the Toyota technicians/staff in general have a clue about them; presumably through lack of product training and the fact that alot of them have never even seen/touched one in the flesh before.

2: The parts are !Removed! hard to get hold of even for Mr T because Toyota Europe parts division doesn't feel the need to keep parts for it in stock as there are so few customers out there with them. They would rather just order the parts in/have them made when the order comes in, leaving the customer feeling ticked off because they've just waited weeks/months for parts that for the relatively tiny cost to Toyota should have been there in stock in the first place.

Just because Toyota is turning it's back on the performance car sector doesn't for me mean that they can then neglect their existing customers who already own these vehicles - that's just poor & damn well annoying.

No, sorry, not been given any parts numbers. Just left it in the dealerships hands to sort it cause it's still under warranty. If it hadn't been under warranty I'd have taken it somewhere where they know what they are doing!!
