Any views on the Auris SR proposition Toyota are bringing in?

http://www.whatcar.com/news-article.aspx?NA=232016

Key spec looks like:

- 17" alloys (article says these are the same alloys as the SR180 but these look like twin spokes)

- sport suspension

- rear privacy glass

- rear spolier

Looks like sport styling without the engine, but still the entry price looks pretty good!!

It might be just the light, but the picture on Toyota website of Auris SR rear from above looks like it has a slot in the bumper with some sort of diffuser other than the decal version seen on the SR180.

looks very nice!

I reckon that will be the next auris i get next year... look really nice in blue too :)

Finally Toyota are listening to masses who want sportier looking 'warm' hatches.... hooray!!!

Kingo,

Whats the Price for a New SR with the 2.0 Diesel engine? Does this SR include dual Zone climate? What about push Button start?

Auris SR is only available in 1.6 Petrol or as an SR180 2.2 Diesel

Here is the check spec sheet off the Toyota website, no mention of push button start but it does have dual climate control

Hi Kingo,

I believe it will be available in a 2.0L diesel. Prices should be around:

3 door - £16,095 OTR

5 door - £16,595 OTR

Thanks for that, I have been trawling through the marketing planner and nowhere can I see a 2.0 version, so I downloaded the ppt presentation all the sales guys went to, and it does indeed say "1.6 Dual VVT-i manual and MMT 2.0 D4D" The prices are as above. Thats what you get for a parts guy medalling in sales

The Mild Sport version of models in the small to medium family size car account of 36% of all models sold. So Toyota were missing out a bit by not having a standard out the box sexy looking hatch in form of the Auris.

They have obviously done that with the SR180, but not everyone wants to pay £18k+ for a sexy looking car, Hence the new smaller engined SR's, which look just as good as the SR180 for less cash.

They are very good value for money too, compared to its class rivals.

Dual Zone but no push button start.
