Petrol Smell

The other day when it was sunny, i did a little town driving with the windows down. But when i accelerated hard, (not in the town) i got a petrol(ly) kind of smell. Not thick where i would be choking, but enough to annoy for a few seconds. Any ideas guys??

could be that the car is running rich just. i get this the odd time. just a wiff mind you but i dont think it is anything to worry about. best getting the car up on ramps and haaing a look for any leaks just to be sure but if not i would just say the car is running a bit rich. mite give u an excuse to get a new ecu and remapped! lol
