Picnic Vacuum Pipes?

Following my query regarding ECU change after engine change,(thanks for the reply Propnut), I have checked all gaskets and they seem to be airtight. I am not convinced that all the pipes have been put back in the right place though. Where can I get a service sheet or Map to check that they are connected properly? So far with different varieties of connection, we have gone from 3000rpm idle speed to cutting out. It would be great to find somewhere in between!

If anyone has any suggestions I would be very grateful. A lady living nearby had a 2l picnic identical to me but sadly she has moved or I would be able to have a quick look.

Thanks again for any advice

Carl

See if you can get a workshop manual for the car. Also under your bonnet you should have a vaccum diagram that shows you where all the pipes go. If not let me have the engine code and I will see if I have a manual for it somewhere.

One more thing, whilst I haven't had direct experience with this engine, I have heard that the throttle bodies on them are prone to giving a few issues. It might be worthwhile taking it off and giving it a clean. You could also check the ISC valve and EGR valves whilst you are at it.

Toyota seldom use an engine in one model only, so even if you can't find a Picnic manual if you know what the engine code is you may find the same one is fitted to a corolla, avensis, carina etc and so you could get a manual for one of these.

Here you go mate buy this quick before he sells out.
