Hello all......newbie here. I,m Dave and I have recently purchased an 87 Celica ( Gen 4 ? ) convertable. It was a friends for over 15 years but has been garaged for the last 12 or so!! I actually borrowed the car in 92 to go on holidays in!! Until last week our paths ( the car and I ), have not crossed other than a glimpse of it at the back of his garage underneath garden furniture and ride on mowers etc! :o

My only other Toyota was a from new Y Reg diesel Avensis GLSi estate.....what a great car...the only thing I missed when I left the company ;)

It requires mostly cosmetic work as he has fitted new wheels & tyres, a new exhaust, new cam belt & new clutch in the last 18 months as he needed to MOT it to swap a cherished number. MOT is now expired and its looking a little sad n tatty, especially the canvas roof............well his two young sons have been using it a full side sit in and make car noises toy for several years!!

Well enough of the pre-amble.....I look forward to chatting with fellow Toyota owners and getting sensible advice on my restoration.

REgards to all

Dave
