2008 Yaris Common Fault List

My wife picke dup her 08 Yaris yesterday and so i thought id have a look around this section to see if there was any useful info. What i have found to my disbelief is that there are common faults already.

Thought id put up a list of what i have seen and if anyone can add their contribution it may help new owners have a check list of what to look out for in the future.

1 - Clutch Pedal Clicking noise

2 - Clutch judder from cold

3 - Squeeky/grinding brakes

4 - Crunchy gears (although this needs to be bedded in it seems)

Any more for any more people? Im going to take the car out soon to see what i make of it.

Multimode gears do not always change at the same speed/rev combinations as a manual would. Often sticks in too low a gear.

My parents have got a new diesel yaris coming in a couple of weeks, so I'll let you know if they find anymore for the list.
