Dear Snowy - scuff the other side and claim its a feature...?

The bumpers on mine are a kind of grey plastic and its difficult to get rid of....maybe try a very fine polish like fine T-cut or better a silver polish?? Depends on how deep the scuff is.

Otherwise see your GP and ask to be prescribed diazepam as you have an obsessive compulsive disorder. (OCD)

I think number 1 RAV will be down at warrington on the May holiday bash, so if you want to see a few bashes, bumps and scrapes, then meet me on the Sunday morning after the night before

I have some sort of scuff on my black bumper that had been 'fixed' before I got it and does not look good - they've used the car paint I think.

I am a great advocate of permanent marker pens for all sorts of 'repair' jobs ;)

I just call the local dent doctor for the minor stuff they normally only charge about 30 dabs and come to you to sort it.

I just wish it was. It badly needs polishing; I need to take the front bullbar off cos its too rusty and I can't find anyone in this area whom can bend metal 2" tube at right angles - which means the front floodlights come off til I get a replacement made up by sumbidy. The rear step is rusty and I was going to sand it down and paint it but I'm not sure if the metal will take the physical.

I'll be taking it into the garage on Tuesday as the nearside front has a knock which i need fixed asap so Monday will be spent giving the interior a good clean. Aside of that - it still is going well. I had hoped that No 2 RAV would have been ready by now, but it has been delayed by other projects in the garage - no. 2 is a cleaner car and I'd hoped to bring that down to Warrington in May - I'll ask the guys if they can achieve that. If not, then we'll tweak the engine turbo a bit more before coming down...but i would have liked the rear suspension bushes and new sway bar fitted for this - we'll see.

My 4.2 had a "Smart Repair" done recenlty, by my main dealer, on both bumper over fenders and all door scuff boards and the rear bumber. They only charged £70 includiing some paint repair work as well. It left all my plastic parts looking like new. Might be worth asking about at your local dealers?

Bothy, try DH Stainless in Blantyre 01698 824980 or D & D Stainless in Houston Industrial Estate, Livingstone. You will struggle to get someone to bend Low Carbon Steel

tube in this area, better in Stainless anyway.

Cheers for that Sir - I'll chase that up - and it'll save me if they can make a step as well---and as you say stainless would be better!
