Hey everyone!!

i have an 89 2.4 TD surf which every now and then the turbo decides to stop boosting which causes me to have to drive about 30mph everywhere!!!

when it works however it boosts like a dream minimum smoke and nice steady power

was wondering if any of you guys have/had this problem or know what the hell it is as its beginning to ***** me off especially when im causing a tailback on the roads lol!!

any help will be great

Check out the photo, the two items that are circled are to do with boost, the pressure sensor at the bottom of the pic, and the boost pipe pressure pipe.

The small rubber boost pipe can sometimes get oil on it making it swell and become disconnected causing low boost.

Your problem sounds like either one or both of these components.
